Effective Use of Data and Curriculum Supports

Diagnostic and Formative Assessments: NECC staff are using and evaluating a course developed by the Assessment and Accountability Comprehensive Center to determine its possible value for State Education Agency (SEA) school improvement and other staff. The course, "Selecting and Using Diagnostic Assessments," addresses reliability, validity, usability, and bias. The course content, presented and facilitated in a series by NECC staff, may be one way to enhance the knowledge base and capacity of SEA staff and ultimately to provide them with a resource to support Local Education Agencies.
