Vermont
NECC staff members are working with Vermont leaders on the continued transformation of the state’s educational service and delivery system, an effort that involves new structures, policies, skills, regulations, and programs, including transforming secondary education and integrating Response to Intervention initiatives into the broader state system of educational interventions. As part of Vermont's agenda for educational transformation, NECC works with Department of Education staff to address issues such as administrator effectiveness, workforce mentoring, and building teachers' and school leaders' cultural competencies.
NECC staff members consulted with Vermont leaders to develop strategies for implementing Vermont Secondary Schools for the 21st Century: Ensuring Each Student Can Succeed in College, Career and Citizenship, the state's secondary education transformation project, and also assisted in developing an Adolescent Literacy Tool Kit.
